The analytics have been defined in line with global standards such as TCFD and EU SFDR. Goldman Sachs clients will now be able to dynamically analyze the carbon footprint of their portfolios across key carbon metrics such as scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions, carbon intensity levels and net zero commitments. “We’re excited to offer this innovative product to our clients, as we continue to integrate sustainable solutions into all of our businesses.” “Central to our work accelerating climate transition is arming our clients with the tools to measure and manage their own decarbonization.” said John Goldstein, head of Goldman Sachs’ Sustainable Finance Group. Learn more: #GSSustainability /RhYVEtePha We’ve just launched Carbon Portfolio Analytics on Marquee-which measures a portfolio’s carbon emissions exposure, providing the tools needed to help make informed investment decisions toward achieving decarbonization goals. This new solution is available on Marquee, Goldman Sachs’ digital marketplace for institutional investors, offering research, data and analytics, trade execution, index solutions, and prime services. That’s why people want them.Goldman Sachs announced the release of an innovative carbon footprint analytics application which gives clients the ability to measure and manage the carbon emissions exposure in their public equity and corporate bond portfolios. “Building natively in the cloud is a lot easier than tying together these systems, but these systems are really, really hard to make. I think this is everywhere,” Bailey says. “Goldman is looking at how their business is changing and how they think about their capital markets, how they think about principle fulfilment, and commissions, and that type of stuff, and they see that in terms of fullservice offerings. While Goldman and other large investment banks and asset managers have the challenge of evolving legacy platforms to incorporate cloud-based services and APIs, fintech startups don’t offer the robust, institutional power of a Marquee or similar bank-run platforms. That’s the end-game, and it’s kind of a winner-takes-all scenario.” “It’s a fundamentally difficult problem to take all these pieces that have evolved over decades and put them together in a way that’s seamless. “The more that you can build a platform out and add an ecosystem, where not only you but also your customers and other parties can build into it, that’s tremendous power,” he says. Brad Bailey, a research director within research and consultancy Celent’s capital markets division, says that Goldman’s move to open the Marquee platform represents a wider trend seen throughout the industry.

When you arrive at the camp, you can: 1) go west to the sea and swim south along the coast (lvl 1-10, and 10-25 for Tauren ) 2) follow the road through Stranglethorn Vale until you reach Booty Bay. Tauren, Trolls and Orcs can go to the Orgrimmar Zeppelin and fly to Grom’Gols base camp, Undeads can use the Zeppelin at the Undercity. ( Undeads can take the Zeppelin to Orgrimmar and then follow the same route) Travel there and take the boat to Booty Bay. At lvl 10-25+ Trolls, Orcs and Tauren can access the Barrens where Ratchet lies. When you see a small island with a huge goblin on it, swim east. Don’t swim/dive to far into the ocean but don’t get to close to the shore to avoid Murlocs. For lvls 10-20 there’s an alternate route: go to Westfall, go to the west into the sea and swim to the south along the coast. When in Stranglethorn Vale, just follow the road to Booty Bay. (The usual route) Follow the path from Duskwood to Stranglethorn Vale or go to the east of Westfall and travel(=swim) south along the river. Therefore I have listed the routes I know here: But below lvl 30, you have a low chance of survival(especially the Alliance). There are lots of people who want to go to Booty Bay to buy “The Bass and You” or a parrot and some others want to access to the lower lvl Horde zones in Kalimdor. One up north by Nessingway's Camp, and one at the entrance to booty bay.ĭon't let those discourage you as this zone is worth all the danger, and will allow you to flow through the 30's and early 40's with ease.Ĭomment by 42522I haven’t visited the whole area yet but I think Stranglethorn Vale is a beautiful lvl 30-45 area. This is also the zone that connects to the raid dungeon, Zul'Gurub so it is frequented by level 60s, as well due to the large amounts of quests it can be a pvp hot box at any point in time.Īs well should you die in the more central parts of Stranglethorn prepare yourself for a long corpse run as there are only two graveyards within the zone. There is also a bunch of great quests located in the neutral town of Booty Bay.Ī word of warning about stranglethorn for PVP servers. Horde only quests from Grom'gol encampment (central western area, right by the shore). There are a great number of quests for both factions, alliance only quests from the rebel camp, farthest northern part of stranglethorn (follow the road). Comment by 7901Stranglethorn Vale is a great place to level between level 32-43. 10/29/2022 0 Comments Snowtape vol 1 ft vanictracklistYou can find out how old a container is by inspecting the CSC label (Container Safe Convention) on the door. One group of elements that have nearly indistinguishable chemical properties, called the rare earth elements, is separated out into its own separate space at the bottom of the periodic table. This is because the elements don’t always fit neatly into groups that share the same physical and chemical characteristics. Each of these 7 rows is called a “period.” Finally, you might notice that there are gaps in the periodic table, particularly in the top 3 rows. The orbitals are the regions around the atom’s nucleus where electrons are most likely to appear. When you read the period table in rows going across from left to right, you will find that the elements in each row share the same number of atomic orbitals. Additionally, related elements are usually color-coded to indicate whether they are metals, semi-metals, or non-metals. Each column in the periodic table, going from top to bottom, represents one of these groups. The elements are also organized into groups, or families, that share similar physical and chemical properties. At the other extreme, an atom of the synthetic element oganesson has 118 protons and an atomic number of 118. For instance, the first element in the periodic table, hydrogen, has an atomic number of 1, because a hydrogen atom has only 1 proton. Each element has its own atomic number, which represents the number of protons in one atom of the element. As you move across the table, the number of protons and the atomic mass of each element increases. When you’re reading the periodic table, move across the table from top left to bottom right. But it’s not too difficult to understand once you learn the basics of how it works. The periodic table can seem a little daunting at first. Elements are labeled as semi-metals if they have a mixture of properties of both metals and non-metals.These elements are usually gases at room temperature but may also become a solid or liquid at certain temperatures. Elements are considered a non-metal if they lack luster, don’t conduct heat or electricity, and are non-malleable.Elements are labeled as a metal if they have luster, are solid at room temperature, conduct heat and electricity, and are malleable and ductile.Keep in mind that hydrogen can be grouped with either the Halogens or the Alkali Metals because of its properties, so it may appear on either side of the table or may be colored differently. You’ll notice that metals occur to the left of the table, while non-metals fall on the right. Fortunately, most periodic tables use color to indicate whether the element is a metal, semi-metal, or non-metal. You can better understand the properties of an element by recognizing what type of element it is. One topic of interest for us is how halogens affect the way the molecules that contain them behave, especially a phenomenon called halogen bonding," explained Donald.Distinguish between metals, semi-metals, and non-metals. "They are chemically interesting and versatile: fluorine, for instance, tends to be very reactive yet combining fluorine with carbon in a special way allows Teflon pots to be ‘non-stick’. One of Donald's favorite groups of elements are The Halogens, which include fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine. "The outcomes of that bonding is what we call in chemistry a sandwich compound," said Donald. One paper he's written discusses how the elements beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, zinc, cadmium, mercury, and other elements form bonds to a ring structure made entirely of carbon and hydrogen. "Everything that we can actually see and touch, all summed up with the word ‘matter’, on the earth is some combination of atoms of naturally occurring elements," said Donald.ĭonald's research group investigates molecules involving elements from across The Periodic Table. He can speak in particular to a group of elements known as The Halogens, which he uses in his research as a theoretical and computational chemist. Kelling Donald, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences, works with elements across the Periodic Table. |
